Where to Stay
Val Gardena is made up of three main villages, all connected by a 10–15 minute drive or a free local bus.
-
Ortisei (St. Ulrich) – The Hub: The main village with a beautiful pedestrian center, shops, and cafes. Best for those who want to be in the heart of the action and close to the main cable cars.
-
Santa Cristina (St. Christina) – The Quiet Gem: Just 5 minutes from Ortisei. It’s smaller, sunnier, and offers a more relaxed mountain vibe with great value for your money.
-
Selva (Wolkenstein) – The Peaks: Located at the top of the valley (15 mins from Ortisei). Best for guests who want to be surrounded by high cliffs and luxury wellness resorts.
Its Surroundings:
-
Laion (Lajen) – The Gateway Balcony: A charming traditional village at the entrance of the valley (15-20 mins from Ortisei). It is the perfect choice for those seeking an authentic farm-stay (Agriturismo) experience, with stunning panoramic views and great local hospitality.
-
Bolzano (Bozen) - The Gateway to the Dolomites: The provincial capital, located about 45 minutes from Ortisei. Perfect for those who prefer city comforts, offering more options for hotels, transport, and nightlife.
-
Night Return: We are organizing a shuttle service for those staying overnight in Bolzano. Let us know if you might be interested!
-
Pro Tip: Most accommodations provide a free Mobility Card upon check-in, giving you unlimited free bus travel throughout the valley. No need to worry about mountain parking!
⚠️ July is peak season in the Dolomites, so we strongly recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible.

Weather & Dress Code
The Vibe
Summer Mountain Chic. Think elegant but comfortable.
The Weather
Days are usually sunny and warm (20-25°C), but as soon as the sun sets, the mountain air gets chilly. Make sure to bring a jacket or a warm wrap for the evening.
Footwear
Since parts of the celebration will be on grass and uneven terrain, we suggest avoiding stilettos.
